Editorial lead recruitment

Charlton Morris is a collection of recruitment brands that wanted to achieve something different in their sector and push their brand in a more editorial direction. This project is the biggest undertaking I've achieved so far, the total project took around 10 months to complete, with constant upgrades and changes still going on. The three main aspects of the project I worked on were, rebranding, UI/UX Design and Front End Development. The outcomes of the project have been successful across the board, with the client achieving beyond expected R.O.I and getting positive reactions in their sector. And personally, for me, it was great to work on a project with such scale and depth.

The first step was to give the core brand a refresh. The previous branding lacked any real identity and meaning to the business. We undertook multiple brand workshops over a few months to understand the business and develop something that would connect with the core mission of Charlton Morris. The outcome was a fresh, sophisticated look that tied business together under one visual style. We develop a 30+ page brand guideline to make it clear how and when to apply the new visual language across the business.

At the centre of all this change was a groundbreaking idea to lead recruitment marketing with an 'editorial-first' approach. Stripping the jobs from the site and filling it with rich and thoughtful content that's geared towards the markets Charlton Morris work in. It might seem strange a first to create a recruitment site without any jobs, but the idea behind this was to develop trust within the industry by creating a place which users would want to visit and get to know the brand. The risk paid off, with 6500+ visitors per month and 400+ goal completions in the first month alone.

to complete the project a bespoke group site was created. Featuring a dark modern colour pallet, with impactful animations and strong typography to push what a corporate recruitment site can look like.
